Host to An Eclectic Group

The second Carmel City Hall and Post Office was officially listed on May 25, 2005 in the Carmel Inventory of Historic Resources, at the local level of significance, for its association with the growth of city government. It is a minor, representative example of the Spanish Eclectic architectural style, designed by San Francisco bay area architect Thomas Morgan. Its period of significance is 1922 to 1934.
